Mick + Katie | An Elegant Hotel Baker Wedding

Mick and Katie are MARRIED, and their Hotel Baker wedding was an absolute DREAM! Late October weddings in Chicago are completely unpredictable — snowstorms and 80-degree temps are both possibilities!! But these two hit the weather jackpot: sixty degrees and SUNNY, all day long!! Hotel Baker’s gardens were absolutely lovely, the perfect place for wedding party portraits after their ceremony at St. Pius X in Lombard. Naperville Trolley provided the transportation, Anton and his amazing team at Town and Country Gardens designed all of the stunning florals, Hotel Baker offered a breathtaking reception setting, and Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos served up the best live entertainment we’ve seen in a long time at a reception! Those guys were SO MUCH FUN!! (I was laughing so hard, watching Marty rock out to “All The Small Things” with a bunch of Mick’s groomsmen, right before we left the reception!)

Mick and Katie grew up in the same Chicago suburb and went to high school together (high school sweethearts!). College took them on different paths, but they got back together after graduation, and they’ve been together ever since! Due to some crazy circumstances, the first time I talked to Mick and Katie was just about two weeks ago! We may not have known each other for very long, but the amazing thing about people like Mick and Katie is that, whenever you’re around them, they make you feel like you’re a part of the family! We loved getting to know them and their family and friends, and their wedding day FLEW by!
