Your session will include traditional posing, plus lifestyle and documentary imagery. I direct a lot, so you’ll always know what to do or where to look. I shoot fast, I engage with your kids, and we’ll work together to capture beautiful, authentic, lovely images that you will absolutely love and treasure.

There are a million places where we can find magical light! I recommend shooting near sunset or as close to sunrise as possible, for the most beautiful and flattering light.

We love everything about Sherah and her husband Marty. When I first met them I was the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding. They were amazing, they felt like family, and they took the most incredible pictures. After that I knew I needed Sherah for my family pictures. First of all: I keep things very fun and positive! If a little one isn’t into photos (which is often the case!), I have lots of tricks to turn those frowns upside down :) Above all, I encourage parents to stay positive and excited! Threats or stern words don’t usually work during a photo session — but I’ll do my very best to win over any grumpy kids, and we’ll have a great time together!
What if my kids are crabby?
We'll keep our eyes on the forecast,
and I'll make the call to reschedule
if necessary!
What if the weather looks questionable on the day of my session?
Absolutely! In-home newborn and family lifestyle sessions are some of my most favorite sessions! I love seeing a family in their own home, just playing around and being themselves! I'll use your windows to bring in lots of beautiful natural light.
