Elise + Caleb | A Timeless Lake Forest Wedding

The forecast for Elise and Caleb’s wedding day kept changing — rain, no rain, rain, no rain. It downpoured the night before (and gave their guests traveling in for the wedding some crazy memorable stories to tell about making friends with strangers and unexpected road trips when the airport shuts down!), but the afternoon of their wedding was crisp and chilly, with only a light mist in the air! (We didn’t need umbrellas, hallelujah!!)

Caleb and Elise had such beautiful, thoughtful details and traditions scattered throughout their day. Look for Elise’s thumbprint, etched into the inside of Caleb’s wedding band, and the groomsmen’s Marvel cufflinks. (So cool! Thor’s hammer is my favorite!) Watch for the tears on Caleb’s face as he watches his bride walk down the aisle, the PURE JOY in this bride and groom’s faces in their portraits, the spinning, swirling dresses on the dance floor at their reception, and the way these two look at each other when they dance together.

Caleb and Elise!! Congratulations from the bottom of our hearts! What a beautiful, perfect wedding day, the start of a beautiful life together!!

There were so many “AHH this is really happening!!!” tears — such a sweet, tight-knit, joyful group of family and friends!!

We met at the ceremony site for a first look that had ME crying!

After the ceremony, we headed to beautiful downtown Lake Forest! Portraits were so important to Elise and Caleb… and we took a LOT of them!!

Caleb and Elise’s reception was held at the Greenbelt Cultural Center, and you better believe we took advantage of the gorgeous grounds surrounding the venue!
