It’s freezing in Chicago tonight, so let’s rewind time back to August, when I met Dan and Angi at the crack of dawn right on Chicago’s lakefront. The weather was perfect: we had sunshine, haze, fog, and clouds, all in a matter of minutes, which gave this shoot a lot of depth and variety. And the chemistry these two have going on is just so lovely. (You’ll see it: that pose where Dan has Angi in his arms and she’s staring straight up at him? They nailed it, every time. So sweet.)

Dan is Mr. Suave, completely at ease, and happy as long as he has his arms around his Angi. And Angi? She’s energy and enthusiasm, style and sophistication, a true beauty, ready to take on the world, as long as Dan is beside her. The first time they ever met was at Oak Street Beach, when they were introduced to each other by mutual friends. Naturally, then, we spent an early Chicago summer morning there, toes in the sand (they even braved the freezing Lake Michigan water for me — thanks you two!). We took pictures at the exact place they met, because what’s better than standing on the same spot where a simple “hello” opened the door to a million happy moments, tucked into two lifetimes woven into one?
