Kathleen and Adam’s wedding day at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago took our breath away! I must have checked the weather forecast 600 times the week before their wedding because of crazy thunderstorms that were predicted over the weekend. BUT, Saturday morning was clear and bright and beautiful, and Kathleen and Adam had a perfect mid-summer dream of a day for their downtown Chicago wedding celebration!

Kathleen wore an absolutely stunning Mark Ingram gown that had everyone going “wow,” while Adam looked dapper in his sharp tuxedo. I loved their wedding party — they were all truly a PARTY, and the best group of people surrounding Kathleen and Adam all day long!! Their ceremony was held at St. Michael’s in Old Town, and my favorite part was the moment when Adam saw Kathleen for the first time. They waited to see each other until their wedding ceremony (love!!), and when the doors opened to reveal Kathleen and her sweet dad at the end of the aisle, Marty captured a photo of Adam that has to be one of my favorite groom reactions ever. The expression on Adam’s face gives me the happy chills — it’s that “I’m the Luckiest Guy in the World” look, and it’s just the best!!

Their Harold Washington Library wedding reception was held in the library’s magnificent Winter Garden. Picture twinkling lights, crisp white draping, candles, florals, and live music featuring the incredible Chicago Players. We heard some of the best toasts we’ve ever experienced (at one point, I looked over and Marty was wiping away tears because he was laughing so hard!). After dinner, The Chicago Players had everyone dancing like crazy, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Kathleen and Adam’s Harold Washington Library wedding day was a mix of sweet, sweet romance and just total magic. Kathleen is so beautiful and animated and funny, such a classy, classic, beautiful bride! And Adam is a kind, generous, gentle guy who loves Kathleen more than anything in the world. We are so SO happy for these two!
