Wow, Caitlin and Garrett! Where to begin?! Their love story started over five years ago — Garrett had moved to Illinois from Maine, and one of the stops on their first date was the Lantern in downtown Naperville, a place that now holds a permanent spot in their hearts! Garrett and Caitlin are all about PEOPLE. They prioritize relationships, with their family and friends and each other, and that became more and more evident to me as we talked about their priorities and plans for their wedding day. We first met these two at their engagement session, we dealt with some crazy weather and a short timeframe for photos, and they were as chill as anyone could possibly be!! We’ve had so much fun getting to know these two over the past several months.
There were so many things that I loved about their wedding day, but here are a few special moments that really stood out for me! 1) Caitlin getting ready in her parent’s house, and seeing her family for the first time in her wedding dress. SO SWEET. (2) Their first look, on the balcony of Hotel Indigo… which also happened to be the exact spot where Garrett proposed last December!! So amazing and perfect! (3) Running around downtown Naperville, grabbing the most beautiful shots of this sweet couple and their hilarious wedding party! (4) At their reception, they took a table photo with each table of guests PLUS a giant group shot in the center of the dance floor in under FOUR MINUTES! Incredible, and such a fun and amazing memory!! And finally, (5) watching these two sneak out during their reception to grab a few twinkly-light photos in front of Meson Sabina’s lovely pillars. Romantic and timeless and just the best.
Congratulations Caitlin and Garrett! We had so much fun with you!! Enjoy reliving your magical wedding day! It was absolutely breathtaking!!
