Two and a half years ago, on the day the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, my dear cousin Kristen had her lucky #worldseriesbaby. Christopher was born eleven weeks early, in a hospital right in the middle of a city erupting with crazy celebration. Christopher’s early arrival took everyone by surprise, and he was a tiny, tiny babe at birth. My brave cousin and her husband Steve jumped right into parenthood, spent many many days in the NICU, and just over two months after he was born, sweet Christopher was finally able to go home with his mommy and daddy.

Fast forward to today! Christopher is a bouncy, hilarious two-year-old! He is SWEET AS PIE and just the cutest little guy. And now… Kristen and Steve are expecting their second baby! When Kristen was pregnant with Christopher, we had planned on a casual maternity shoot in December — think lots of snow and twinkly lights — but plans obviously changed! This time around, we actually had to reschedule their shoot more than once because of snow (so ironic! haha!)… but we ended up with a beautiful afternoon, perfect glowy light, and this sweet family and beautiful, beautiful mom.
