I first met Nina at her dear friend’s wedding in Colorado, a few years ago — she was one of the bridesmaids, I was the photographer — and when she contacted me to see if I was available to shoot her own wedding this fall, I thought hard about the bridesmaids I remembered from that wedding. They were all fun, crazy, giddy with excitement, but one stood out in my mind: a total ball of fiery, fun, sarcastic, hilarious energy… and sure enough, it was Nina! Then, when I met David for the first time this past spring… well, I could totally tell why they work so great together. Nina is fireworks, sparkle, pizzazz, and David is chill, steady, constant. I love the dynamic they have going on together.

These two flew in to Chicago from Minneapolis for the day, took the El from O’Hare in to the city (they’d never done it before! brave!), and met me at a Starbucks on Michigan Avenue. We chatted over coffee, and then ran around Millennium Park all morning. It was bright and windy and sunny, and they just laughed and laughed, happy in love 🙂
