Theresa and Andrew’s Independence Grove Wedding

Any Independence Grove wedding day is guaranteed to be stunning! And from the first time I talked with Andrew and Theresa about their wedding plans (well over a year ago!), I knew that it would be true for them! While these two were careful to craft a beautiful timeline for their wedding day and pay attention to the small details, they also emphasized from the beginning how much they just wanted to enjoy their wedding day with their family and friends! This was a day that they had anticipated for months and months, and they weren’t going to get hung up on any detail that didn’t go exactly as planned. And that’s one of the many, many things I love about Theresa and Andrew! They are so willing to look for the best in people, to stay positive and just laugh their way through life… and that’s exactly what they did on their wedding day!

Theresa and Andrew’s wedding ceremony was at the beautiful and historic Long Grove Community Church. Theresa’s childhood home is a the neighborhood near the church, and every day, she would ride the school bus past the little white church… not knowing as a little girl that one day, she’d be walking down the aisle of that very church on her wedding day!! How sweet is that?!

After a beautiful ceremony, we traveled to Libertyville for Theresa and Andrew’s Independence Grove wedding reception! One thing Theresa told me from the beginning is how much she wanted fall colors in her photos, and Independence Grove’s fall foliage was at peak perfection! We took photos with their wedding party just as the sun was beginning to set, and ended portraits right as the sun dipped behind the trees — right on time for Theresa and Andrew to join their guests at cocktail hour! The bride and groom danced the night away with their family and friends, and Marty and I left just as milkshakes were being served (best late-night wedding reception snack, in my opinion!!)!
