Chloe and Kevin’s journey to their wedding day started with a breathtaking proposal on the shores of Lake Michigan back in late 2019. They chose their June 2021 wedding date before the chaos of 2020 happened, and like thousands of other couples, dealt with the craziness of planning a wedding with the world turned upside-down. But as things changed (and changed, and changed), Chloe and Kevin kept emphasizing the most important thing: on June 12th, 2021, they were getting MARRIED, and starting their beautiful forever together! As it turns out, June 12th was the very weekend that the city of Chicago was completely, entirely OPEN, and the atmosphere in the city and at their wedding was absolutely, elatedly JOYFUL!

Chloe and her bridesmaids got ready at the beautiful Hotel Lincoln, while Kevin and groomsmen took photos at Wrigley Field. A surprise thunderstorm rolled in during their ceremony at St. Clement, but by the time they were married (!!!) and we walked outside for portraits, the clouds were gone and the sun came out! They celebrated at the gorgeous Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, surrounded by an oasis of calm, cool green space, right in the middle of the bustling city. My favorite part of the night was all of the heartfelt toasts — so many beautiful words of love between family and friends! The woman I was standing next to kept saying, “This is just so SWEET!” There were hugs and tears and laughter, and Chloe and Kevin danced the night away with their dearest family and friends. It was an honor and a joy to be a part of their beautiful celebration.
