Alyssa + Jim | A Pazzo's Chicago Wedding

Alyssa and Jim!! What a wedding, what a couple!! They first met in the wintertime, they took a magical walk in the snow on their first date, and during a snowboarding trip, Jim proposed to Alyssa on the top of a mountain in Colorado!! When we first sat down to talk about their wedding last year, Jim and Alyssa were ALL smiles about their plans for a February wedding in Chicago!! These two know how to have fun, and they were so excited to plan a big, beautiful wedding celebration with their family and friends — “There’s not too much happening in Chicago in February,” said Alyssa, “and we want to give people something to look forward to.” How sweet is that?!

We started out the day at the classy JW Marriott, where Alyssa and Jim had their First Look on the hotel’s epic marble staircase. The weather was BEAUTIFUL (for February!!) on the day of their wedding (Leap Day 2020!!), and while the sun warmed things up, it was still chilly. But these two were incredible! They love the city so much, so we drove around Chicago, taking pictures at all the beautiful places! Their bridal party was the best (especially the girls, walking around in the cold!!), and there was so, so much love. Alyssa and Jim have amazing friendships that have lasted for years, and the depth of their relationships was obvious. This was a beautiful, well-planned, delightful wedding, and Marty and I had THE BEST time photographing it and celebrating alongside these wonderful people!
