There’s a special kind of magic to a Field Museum engagement session in the fall. Golden light. Leaves glowing as we took photos in the gardens and around the museum. Alison is bubbly and fun and full of energey, and Ty is calm, warm, and unapologetically SO IN LOVE with her — together they just fit. They’re planning a beautiful autumn wedding on the outskirts of Chicago, so this session felt like a little love letter to the city they love before their big day.

We wandered the museum gardens first — glowing maples, crunchy paths, easy laughter. Then the iconic steps, because who doesn’t love that timeless limestone and skyline peekaboo? Alison twirled. Ty pulled her close. More laughing, more chatting, more “this is us” energy. The afternoon drifted into that soft light and everything clicked: classic Chicago, but make it cozy and completely them.
