A September Wedding at The Drake Oak Brook
Early fall is such a gorgeous time for a wedding at The Drake Oak Brook, and Jennifer and Nate’s wedding day was no exception! There were a million things we loved about this day, and I wish I could share every single one of them! And right at the top of the list are Jen and Nate themselves, because these two are wonderful, beautiful people! It was such a JOY to spend the day with these two. Nate is a reserved, calm gentleman of a guy, but whenever he looks at Jen, his face lights up like she’s the only person on the planet! And Jen is a GEM, so much fun and just a delight of a person (not to mention a total DREAM of a bride!!).
Jen and Nate’s wedding at the Drake Oak Brook was bright and sunny and beautiful! We had blue blue blue skies all day long, and all of that sunshine meant we got the prettiest, most gorgeous light during their portrait time! I loved watching Jen and Nate with their parents. (Jen surprised her mom with a special mother-daughter dance, and it was such a beautiful moment!) And the toasts from Jen’s two maids-of-honor, Nate’s best man, and Jen’s dad and brother were PERFECT. (I was talking with a videographer a few weeks ago about the ingredients of the perfect toast — *just* long enough, a story to make you laugh, quick details about the bride and groom as a couple, and heartfelt words of love — and each and every toast and Jen and Nate’s wedding was exactly that! Everyone was laughing and crying and laughing again!)
