Jen and John’s Autumn Wedding at Gaelic Park

The thing that makes our role as wedding photographers the very best job in the world is the people we get to work with! Every single one of our couples is unique and wonderful and truly special… and those are the exact words I would use to describe Jen and John! From the minute we met over coffee at a little shop in Oak Park, I knew that there was something different about these two. They’re both bubbly and kind and engaging, but they’re also thoughtful and contemplative and just really genuine, with a pinch of sassiness thrown in just for fun (haha!). Their Adler Planetarium engagement session was filled with so much laughter and joy, and we knew their wedding day was going to be an absolute treat for us to be a part of!

After getting ready, we started with Jen and John’s first look at gorgeous Lake Katherine. There are so many beautiful (and hilarious) moments I can think of from their wedding day, but one of my favorites is John’s face when he saw Jen for the first time! Just the sweetest thing in the world! We followed up their first look with portraits with Jen and John’s awesome bridal party! What a crew!  Finally, we headed to Gaelic Park for Jen and John’s big beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. It was a crisp, chilly fall day, but the sun was bright and warm, and Jen and John were finally married in front of two-hundred of their family and friends! What an amazing wedding day to capture with our cameras!
