A Joyful, Laid-Back Conway Farms Golf Club Wedding

Kelly may have been the most laid-back bride I have ever photographed.

She laughed with her bridesmaids, wore sunglasses at cocktail hour, and by the father-daughter dance, had her brother’s tuxedo coat slung over her shoulders.

That pretty much tells you everything.

Kelly and Mitch knew photographs mattered, but they were far more interested in enjoying the people around them than worrying about how every moment looked. Their Conway Farms Golf Club wedding unfolded easily, with a kind of joy that never needed much prompting.

There was something wonderfully unselfconscious about the way these two moved through the day.

They laughed often, lingered with friends, wandered through cocktail hour, and let the celebration happen around them without trying to control every little piece of it.

Just full of movement, affection, and the kinds of moments you only get when people are actually having a good time.

Some of my favorite images from the day were also the simplest.

None of those moments needed direction. They were already enough.

That is one of my favorite parts of photographing weddings: noticing the small things that might otherwise pass by quietly and preserving them before they disappear.

By the end of the night, what stayed with me most was how easy the whole day felt.

Not because nothing mattered.

Because the right things did. The people, the laughter, the hugs, the dancing, the feeling of being surrounded by everyone you love and actually noticing it while it’s happening.

And I think that is exactly why it was so lovely to photograph.
