Megan and Andrew planned a perfect wedding day, from start to finish! We started the day at The Graduate Evanston; their wedding ceremony was held at the stunning Alice Millar Chapel on the campus of Northwestern University; and their Woman’s Club of Evanston wedding reception was just two blocks away. I loved so many things about their wedding day, but a few special moments come immediately to mind: Megan, putting on her dress with her mom and sisters, giddy with excitement and just a bit in awe of how surreal it felt (!!); Megan and Andrew and their amazing wedding party, laughing all the way through portraits (what an amazing group of people!); Megan’s brand new baby nephew, literally smiling for us during family portraits; every single one of the heartfelt speeches; and of course, the many references to Winnie, their big beautiful Great Pyrenees/Mountain Cur mix of a pup!

It also makes a huge difference when there’s an awesome team of vendors behind the scenes! We were so thrilled to be able to work again alongside videographer Matt and his team at Matthew Robert Creative (best in the business!!). The whole team from The Caterist provided amazing staffing and incredible food at the reception. The staff at The Woman’s Club of Evanston was attentive and all-around amazing. And “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” has been in my head ever since I heard it played by Chicago Groove Collective on the dance floor — so much talent in that band!

Ever since I met Megan and Andrew in person for their engagement session last fall, I knew these two had something special going on. They share such a strong, peaceful, beautiful love. Megan is the planner, conscientious and precise and the very sweetest, and Andrew absolutely delights in LIFE — I watched his delighted, beaming face as he watched Megan walk down the aisle, or as he greeted his guests at their cocktail hour, or during their first dance. These two make a great team, and the cutest pair, and we’re so excited for them as they begin their new life together!
